  24. John, I have some good news and some bad news.  The good news is that
  25. you will probably be able to connect with the following initialization
  26. string (recommended by Xircom for the CEM28 which they acknowledge
  27. does on work correctly):

  29. AT &F &Q8 \Q2 W2 S95=47 S37=34
  30.  
  31. The bad news is that this disables certain modem functions.  Xircom
  32. promises that they are working on a fix.  Also, make sure you have the
  33. most current driver and firmware upgrades.
